A 100-hectare wetland known as Baikka Beel can be found in Sreemangal, a tea-growing community in the Moulvibazar District, which is located about 200 miles north of Dhaka. There are a plethora of lotus flowers and cherry blossom bluebells throughout the lovely marshland.

For the benefit of visitors, a monitoring tower is constructed to provide a better sight of the beel, its inhabitants, and wintering birds. It is gradually developing into a research hub for biologists, in particular for domestic and international ornithologists and wildlife specialists. All seasons of the year, tourists gravitate to Baikka beel, but the winter months see the greatest invasion due to the sanctuary’s abundance of birds.

The Baragangina Strategic Planning Organization (RMO) is in charge of looking after Baikka Beel.
